平日の昼間に私は取り調べ室にいる
機械になることを拒んだからだ

夢の中に懐かしい人が出て来たら電話をしてみよう
困ったことにその人は茶色い涙を瞳のダムに浮かべていて
美しい裏切りばかりを繰り返す
そんな泥水を除けようとアスファルトに美しい光が照らし出されて
雑踏の中で私は沈黙を繰り返す
饒舌は邪魔だから影を消そうとするのだが
人々には益々その影が邪魔で仕方ないという
自分の影を見たくない人々はあてのない影を標的にして今夜も飽食を貪ろうとするのだ
隣人が泣いているのも気づかずに

こうしてどんな悲劇も喜劇として延々と時間は過ぎてゆく

箱庭を覗くといつでもホーミーが聞こえるよ

博士はいつもそう呟いていた
取り調べ室と研究室を行き来しながら
パイプをゆっくりと燻らす

立つ土地を必死に守ろうとする人たちにあきれながら
笑顔を裏で悪意に変えながらいる人に哀しみながら
